Black triangle format and template
Products included in the Black Triangle Scheme must:
- have the black triangle symbol and accompanying text included in the PI and CMI
- use the current Product Information format.

Black triangle size and placement
- Each side of the black triangle symbol must have a minimum length of 5mm.
- If the font size of adjacent text exceeds 20-points, the symbol must not be smaller than the surrounding text in the document.
- A standard explanatory text accompanies the symbol to give further information to consumers and healthcare practitioners.
- The symbol and text should appear at the top of the first page of the PI and CMI, before the headings for these documents.
