The Therapeutic Goods (Declared Goods) Order 2019 (the Order) is a new legislative instrument made under section 7 of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (the Act). It commenced on the 22 October 2019 and declares particular goods or classes of goods to be therapeutic goods, or not to be therapeutic goods, for the purposes of the Act.
The Order consolidates within a single instrument all declarations formerly made under section 7 of the Act. The former orders were repealed on 22 October 2019 by a separate instrument titled the Therapeutic Goods (Orders) Repeal Instrument 2019.
The Order does not alter existing regulatory arrangements.
