THERAPEUTIC GOODS ACT 1989
I, CRAIG DAVIES, Head - Advertising and Export Section, Non-Prescription Medicines Branch, Therapeutic Goods Administration and delegate of the Secretary to the Department of Health and Ageing for the purposes of Section 42DF(1) of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 -
- hereby revoke the approval granted in relation to four "Nurofen" products, as published in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette No. GN 20, 24 May 2006; and
- give notice that the restricted representations described in paragraph (a) below, have been approved for use in advertisements directed to consumers, for the goods listed in paragraph (b):
- A representation to the effect that advertisements to consumers for the goods described in paragraph (b) may refer to:
"Most asthmatics can take ibuprofen. If your asthma is made worse by ibuprofen, aspirin or other medicines for pain relief, do not take this product"; - 'Ibuprofen only' or 'ibuprofen combination' products
sponsored by Reckitt Benckiser (Australia) Pty Ltd.
- A representation to the effect that advertisements to consumers for the goods described in paragraph (b) may refer to:
