What should I do?
Find out if your bottle of BioCeuticals Zinc Drops is from batch 004766 or batch 004807. The batch number can be found on the side of the bottle, under the directions for use, and near the barcode.
If your bottle is from either of these batches, do not use it. Return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.
If you are taking BioCeuticals Zinc Drops from the affected batches and you experience nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhoea or headache you should seek immediate medical attention.
What is the problem?
The medicine comes in the form of liquid including zinc. In the affected batches, the zinc and the liquid are separating, which means that you may not get the correct dose of zinc even when following the instructions on the label.
Taking a lower dose may not provide the intended product benefits. Taking a higher amount of zinc in a single dose or over a short period of time can cause zinc toxicity. This may result in symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhoea or headache.
If left untreated, large amounts of zinc may be dangerous and result in severe health issues which you can discuss with your healthcare practitioner.
