Issues related to safety
The medicine contains the ingredient Piper methysticum (Kava) which is only allowed for use in oral listed medicines when the dosage form is tablet, capsule or tea bag. This medicine is in the form of effervescent granules. This ingredient in dosage forms such as powder or granules increases the risk of misuse and overdosing which may lead to adverse outcomes for consumers such as liver damage.

TGA required the sponsor to correct the issues with the medicine. The sponsor cancelled the medicine and withdrew it from further supply.
