We will have limited operations from 15:00 Tuesday 24 December 2024 (AEDT) until Thursday 2 January 2025. Find out how to contact us during the holiday period.
The Commonwealth Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) provides for the right for individuals to request government documents from departments and agencies.
You can make a request on behalf of someone else, though you will be required to provide authorisation from that person.
We will contact you within 14 days after you submit the form.
There is no charge for making a request for documents, though you may need to pay fees and charges if seeking access to non-personal information.
Before you apply for access to documents under the FOI Act 1982, check if the document you need is on our website, particularly the FOI Disclosure Log.
For more information, see Freedom of information (FOI).
Please note that TGA is currently experiencing a very high volume of requests. As such, there may be delays in processing your request and it is likely that we may need to seek extensions of time from you.
What you can request
Your request must be for documents, not information.
If you are seeking general information or answers to specific questions, contact the TGA.
Documents older than 20 years
You can’t use this form to request documents that are older than 20 years. Documents older than 20 years must be requested from the National Archives of Australia. For more information, visit the NAA website.
