Therapeutic Goods Act 1989
I, TERRY SLATER, National Manager, Therapeutic Goods Administration, delegate of the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Health and Ageing for the purposes of subsection 17 (5) of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989, require the following therapeutic goods to be included in the part of the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods for listed goods:
- preparations referred to in item 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 4 of the Therapeutic Goods Regulations that:
- contain, as an active ingredient, "bovine colostrum powder", which is to be mentioned in Division 3 of Part 5 of Schedule 4 of the Therapeutic Goods Regulations; and
- is supplied with a label that includes each of the two statements to the following effect:
- "products containing bovine colostrum extract contain lactose and cow's milk proteins" (or words to that effect); and
- "this product is not suitable for use in children under the age of 12 months except on professional health advice".
