Substitutions approved for HRT patch shortages

To help manage the shortage of estradiol-containing transdermal patches, we have made a Serious Scarcity Substitution Instrument (SSSI). It starts on 19 November 2024 and allows a pharmacist to dispense an alternative brand or strength, if appropriate, without a new prescription from the prescriber.
