Consumers and health professionals are advised that NET Remedies, in consultation with the TGA, is recalling all unexpired aqueous-based products produced between August 2017 and April 2018 with Batch numbers AUS-070115x through AUS-83118x due to possible microbial contamination.
During a routine audit of the overseas manufacturing facility by the US Food and Drug Administration, a small percentage of these products were found to contain microbial contamination.
It has been identified that a fault in the water filtration system from the North Carolina manufacturer resulted in four batches being contaminated by Pseudomonas spp.
Using a NET Remedies product that contains microbial contamination could result in infections that may require medical intervention, and possibly infections that could be life threatening to certain individuals.
