Insulin infusion sets - multiple brands
Consumers and health professionals are advised that an issue relating to the manufacturer of insulin infusion sets has affected multiple brands.
It has been identified that there is increased number of reports of tubing disconnections for insulin infusion sets supplied by this manufacturer. The number of disconnections that have occurred is still very low.
The TGA has published three safety advisories relating to this issue:
- MiniMed Silhouette and MiniMed Sure-T infusion sets
- Accu-Chek Tenderlink infusion sets
- Comfort, Comfort Short and Contact Detach infusion sets
