Improving ethics in healthcare delivery

The Australian Consensus Framework for Ethical Collaboration in the Healthcare Sector (ACF) was launched in 2018.

The Framework describes the values and ethical principles that underpin collaboration and interaction among organisations in the healthcare sector.

It aims to:

• promote collaboration among healthcare sector organisations and those who work within them
• foster better communication, trust, and respect between and amongst healthcare organisations.
• increase trustworthiness and integrity in healthcare
• show commitment to integrity and ethics in the healthcare sector.

Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA) has adopted all the ACF principles. 

The MTAA Code of Practice was ratified in November 2019. Healthcare professionals and MTAA employees must complete the Code training.
