The TGA have developed a new tool to search the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG). The trial (beta) version of the new tool is available from the TGA website alongside the existing ARTG search.
You can access the beta version of the new tool directly at https://compliance.health.gov.au/artg or from the current ARTG search page.
You can provide feedback via the link accessible in the header of the tool. In addition, a user manual is available online from within the tool on the advanced search pages.
Please note it is recommended that you use Chrome browser and the tool is optimised for use with larger screens (laptop and bigger). On smaller screens, users may need to scroll to the right to view the full page.
As this is a trial version, users may encounter minor issues that could be addressed in future releases based on feedback received.
We look forward to receiving your feedback.
About the ARTG
The ARTG is a register of therapeutic goods that can be lawfully supplied in Australia. The search is regularly used for various personal, research and business purposes as it provides information related to the safe and effective use of goods, including medicines and medical devices.
You can use the ARTG to:
- check if a product (medicine or medical device) is approved for use in Australia by the TGA before you use it;
- where available, view and download Consumer Medicine Information (CMI) which includes a list of ingredients;
- where available, view and download Product Information (PI) documents; and
- view and download a summary of the ARTG entry.
