THERAPEUTIC GOODS ACT 1989

I, CRAIG DAVIES, Head - Advertising and Export Section, Non-Prescription Medicines Branch, Therapeutic Goods Administration and delegate of the Secretary to the Department of Health and Ageing for the purposes of Section 42DF(1) of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989, give notice that the restricted representations described in paragraph (a) below, have been approved for use in advertisements directed to consumers, for the products listed in paragraph (b):

1. Representations to the effect that advertisements to consumers for the goods described in paragraph (b) may refer to:
   1. "as advised on the pack, Nurofen should not be taken if you have an existing stomach ulcer or other stomach disorders, if you have kidney or heart problems or are allergic to ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatory medicines"; and
   2. "Do not use Nurofen in the last 3 months of pregnancy. If you are pregnant, as with all medicines we advise you not to take Nurofen (ibuprofen) without advice from your doctor";
2. Nurofen (ibuprofen 200mg tablet blister pack - reformulation) (AUST R 95381);
   Nurofen (ibuprofen 200mg capsule shaped tablet blister pack - reformulation) (AUST R 95382);
   Nurofen Liquid Capsules (ibuprofen 200mg blister pack) (AUST R 96115); and
   Nurofen Migraine Pain (ibuprofen lysine 342mg tablet blister pack) (AUST R 96215)
