This information session provided information on the TGA’s public consultation on the impacts, challenges and opportunities relating to medicine shortages.
Background
Interruptions to the supply and availability of medicines in Australia can occur for various reasons and have a range of impacts on patients and health professionals. The TGA is conducting a public consultation to better understand the nature, extent and urgency of medicine shortages problems and challenges currently experienced by consumers, health professionals and industry.
We also want to hear about possible opportunities to address these issues, in continued collaboration with the broad range of stakeholders responsible for medicine supply in Australia. Feedback to the public consultation will inform recommendations on medicine shortages priorities for future improvement.
